COVID-19 has increased stress levels in the U.S pregnant women
COVID-19 has created new problems for pregnant women in the United States, a group that already faced the highest maternal mortality rate in the developed world even before the pandemic.
One of their biggest concerns is their baby contracting the disease, according to a Washington State University study published recently in the journal
BMC Pregnancy and Childbirth. Some women expressed fears that simply going to the hospital to deliver would cause them to get the virus and then be forced to isolate from their newborn.
Pregnant women are really stressed about contracting COVID-19. They have a lot of questions for their health care providers. There s a lot of we don t know yet, which is understandable, but it s especially stressful for the moms.

A woman who performed CPR on a Tauranga toddler who suffered a traumatic brain injury says she recalls the man accused of murdering the child saying she s okay, she s fine . This was despite the child being unresponsive and gasping for air and St John officers describing the toddler s condition as critical when they arrived at her home.
A St John intensive paramedic has told a jury that murder accused Adrian Colin Clancy was being evasive when asked about what happened to cause the child s critical brain injury.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) has announced 733 new confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and 38 additional confirmed deaths Wednesday, March 17. This information is accurate as of March 15.
Todayâs report brings the total number of people with confirmed cases since the outbreak began to 456,296 and confirmed deaths to 7,890.

DHEC also announced 228 new probable cases of the virus and no new probable deaths. That brings the total of probable cases to 79,804 and the total number of probable deaths to 1,043 in the state since the outbreak began.
